  The website is a wonderful tribute to Raonaid.

I often think of your family and the pain of your tragic loss. May the years ahead be kinder to you and may you find some peace.

  I have just listened to your heartbreaking and so very brave interview which I missed yesterday. As the mother of a beautiful only daughter who was also born in 1982, I cannot begin to imagine your loss. You both spoke so eloquently and painted such a lovely picture of a beautiful girl who had so much to live for. You are in my prayers, may God give you the strength to cope with the loss of your most precious Raonaid.

  As we remember Raonaid, a poem by Sam Levinson which was read out at Audrey Hepburn's funeral,comes to mind...

"For attractive lips, speak words of kindness
For lovely eyes, seek out the good in people;
For a slim figure, share your food with the hungry
For beautiful hair, let a child run his fingers through it once a day.
For poise, walk with knowledge you'll never walk alone
People, even more than things, have to be restored, renewed, revived, reclaimed and redeemed and redeemed. Never throw out anybody.
Remember, if you ever need a helping hand, you'll find it at the end of your arm.
As you grow older you will discover
that you have two hands.
One for helping yourself,
the other for helping others."

It was Samuel Butler who once said: "To die completely, a person must not only forget but be forgotten and he who is not forgotten is not dead."

  Why some people have to endure such hardship I question every day. I am a mother and cannot even for a moment imagine how you cope but I know you are very special people and justice will be done by you and your daughter. God Bless you all.
